PRIVATE CLASSES

For students that would prefer private classes CPI offers one to one instruction. During peak times private classes could be scheduled to take place in the afternoons.

One to one program
Price PER HOUR private classes
(This price is for less than 20 hours private hours per week)
US$ 23 per hour.
Note: The student can combine the group program (in the morning) with private hours in the afternoon in all the 3 CPI campuses.
Fee to convert 20 hours group program to one to one classes: (4 hours program) US$100 per week in addition to the price of group program.
Fee to convert 27,5 hours group program to one to one classes
(5,5 hours program)
US$140 per week in addition to the price of group program.

 

ACCOMMODATION

Different lodging options can be combined in each campus to best suit your personal needs.

Homestay
(Available in the three CPI campuses)

Studio Apartments
(Available in the three CPI campuses)

Some apartments have space for more than 2 people, the additional price is $15 dollars per night per person. Special rates for families.

Prices with CPI accommodations include:
Airport pick up and drop off from Juan Santamaría international airport to San Joaquín de Flores (to the homestay for CPI Heredia students and to a B&B for CPI Flamingo/Monteverde students).

Note: Students starting  classes in Monteverde or Flamingo are recommended taking the arrival package ( cost $90.00 per student and includes one night at a B&B in a single room and transportation to Flamingo or Monteverde).

Homestay also includes 2 meals, laundry service, private room (from Sunday to Sunday).

Space in the studio apartments at the three campuses is limited.

 

MANDATORY EXTRA FEES

Minor Fee

US$175 Net per program for students ages 14 to 17 years, that are not traveling with an adult.

Volunteer Program Fee

US$50 Net per school for a volunteer program arranged by the staff of CPI.
Note: If this fee is not charged, CPI is not obligated to make any arrangements pertaining to a student’s volunteer work.

 

Please note that these prices do not include:

  • transportation between CPI campuses
  • over-night accommodation prior to start of program (for example, should you arrive Saturday, as the homestay initiates on Sunday) and after termination of the CPI program
  • airline ticket
  • lunch at your homestay

Observed Holidays in 2012

We observe the following holiday dates, and no class will be held on these days:

  • Thursday, April 5th and Friday, April 6th (Thursday and Friday of Easter week)

  • Wednesday, April 11th (Day of Juan Santamaría)

  • Tuesday, May 1st (Labor Day)

  • Wednesday, July 25th (Annexation of the Province of Guanacaste to Costa Rica)

  • Wednesday, August 15th (Mother's Day)

  • Tuesday, December 25th (Christmas Day)

 

For Christmas period, please note:

CPI Heredia remains open the whole month of December. CPI Monteverde will be closed 1 week (December 17th - 21st, 2012) and CPI Flamingo will be closed 1 week (December 24th - 28th, 2012).

In December, we suggest to combine classes according to the weeks that each campus will be open.

NOTE: No refunds or make-ups will be made to students for days missed due to holidays.

We accept the following forms of payment:

A. Credit cards- Visa and Mastercard. You may pay your deposit or the total cost of the program through internet. You will receive instructions by e-mail on the exact procedure for making payments via internet.
