CPI is recognized as an official Bildungsurlaub provider. We offer different Bildungsurlaub classes depending on the Spanish level of the student. These classes are available at all three CPI campuses: Heredia, Flamingo and Monteverde.
What is Bildungsurlaub? The literal translation is educational leave. It is a special form of vacation that serves as continuing education for employees in Germany (based on legislative state law*). Generally speaking, employees have the opportunity to take a one week vacation every year* (or respectively two weeks every two years*) to improve their skills through professional seminars, language classes, or career development opportunities. During their Bildungsurlaub week, employees receive their regular income, but they are responsible for paying their class tuition themselves. Usually, this week is not deducted from the employee’s normal allocation of paid vacation.
